Located between Arradon and Port-Blanc, just a few paddle strokes from Île-aux-Moines, Varec’h Base is ideally situated for everyone to find their perfect playground—whether for fun, sport, or relaxation.
Our Instructors
Axel and Marie, passionate about the Gulf!
Trained in Brittany, Axel and Marie have been practicing canoeing and kayaking since childhood. After years of training for competition, they shifted their focus to coaching and recreational paddling.
Originally from Rennes, they first discovered the Golfe du Morbihan as kayak guides and instructors. They spent several seasons exploring its waters before having to move away. After a few years filled with enriching experiences in Brittany and the Basque Country, they decided to return to their first love: the Gulf.
In 2023, they dropped their paddles at Varec’h Kayak to embark on a new adventure.
Our Base
Varec’h Base is located by the water, in Bois Bas, in the town of Baden.
Free parking spaces are available near the base. A changing area and a space to leave your belongings during your outing are at your disposal.
The base is open year-round:
- From April to October, from 9 AM to 8 PM.
- Off-season, by appointment.
