Varec’h Kayak is located in the heart of the Golfe du Morbihan Regional Natural Park, just a few paddle strokes away from Île-aux-Moines.

The Golfe du Morbihan

This small inland sea, 5 km wide and 21 km long, opens onto the Atlantic Ocean between Port Navalo and Locmariaquer through a narrow passage just 1 kilometer wide. With each tide, nearly 400 million cubic meters of water flow through this strait, weaving between the Gulf’s forty or so islands, creating currents that can reach speeds of up to 17 km/h. This unique geography, between land and sea, makes the Golfe du Morbihan an exceptional spot for kayaking.
