🎒 This summer, kids paddled, played, and explored!
A look back at our children’s group kayak activities in the Gulf of Morbihan.
Each summer, the Varec’h Kayak base is filled with laughter, play, and discovery. In July, we welcomed several summer camps, leisure centers, youth houses, and coastal classes.
Every group enjoyed a mix of nautical challenges, adventure, and environmental awareness activities.
From kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding to our Canobus and explorations near the base, the children experienced genuine summer moments — and we did too!
🌊 Varied Activities for Children’s Groups in Kayaking
Our capacity allows us to create tailored activities. We adapt each session based on the age of the group, the number of children, and the educational goals.
• Up to around 15 children in the Canobus (our large collective craft),
• Up to around 30 children in kayaks,
• Up to around 10 children in paddleboards.

The sessions last between 1h30 and 2h. We can also:
• extend the activity with a picnic or a break on an island,
• vary craft types over multiple days (multi-activity cycles),
• divide the group to alternate water activities and on-land games,
• spread the program over a full day with successive sessions for larger groups.
These formats allow us to offer a smooth, safe, and fun reception for children’s kayaking groups in the Gulf of Morbihan.
To participate, children must be at least 7 years old and able to swim and submerge (swimming certificates such as “Savoir Nager” or Pass Nautique are required). The rest — enthusiasm, curiosity, the desire to play, explore, learn, and most importantly … have fun together — is what we bring!
🚣♂️ Kayak, Paddle, and Canobus: Activities to Grow Together!
Each type of craft offers a different experience:
We also offer many water games and challenges adapted to the participants’ age: relays, small courses, mini-explorations, wildlife observation… The goal is always the same: move, laugh, improve, and discover.
🌿 Discover the Gulf of Morbihan in a Different Way
Beyond the sporting aspect, each session is also an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the exceptional environment around us.
Children were able to:
• observe seabirds, seagrass beds, and tidal currents,
• understand tides and their effect on navigation,
• learn about local history and little stories that bring the Gulf to life,
• explore the surroundings of the base and its small beaches.
It’s a fantastic way to connect children with nature while having fun!

👥 Professional and Supportive Supervision
All activities are supervised by Axel & Marie, certified instructors. During high season, a third instructor may join the team.
We pay special attention to:
• safety,
• pedagogy,
• group pace,
• and shared enjoyment.
Children quickly feel confident and ready to paddle!
🧭 Comfort and Logistics: Welcoming Groups Thoughtfully
We welcome groups in the best possible conditions:
• Parking available for cars, minibuses, and coaches (depending on season and demand),
• Access on foot via the coastal path (30 min from the Port-Blanc slipway),
• Toilets and three individual changing cabins (+ a shared space) available,
• Space to leave belongings during the activity,
• Picnic possibilities on nearby small beaches or a grassy area just 10 minutes away (Penmern Chapel).
A simple, natural, and practical environment perfect for summer stays!
☀️ In July, we shared some truly great moments
Photos from this summer show it all: children smiling during briefings,
and even standing achievements on paddleboards!
Each group returns home having lived a fun, sporty, and inspiring adventure.
